On 30th April the members of the Irish Precast Concrete Association (IPCA), a constituent association of the Irish Concrete Federation, took part in a seminar on ‘Brexit’ hosted by Enterprise Ireland for companies who manufacture and sell precast concrete products to the UK market.
Exports of precast concrete products from Ireland to the UK grew from €0 in 2006 to an estimated €134m in 2017. It is essential that the progress made by Irish precast concrete manufacturers located throughout Ireland in developing the UK market as a major outlet for Irish precast exports is not undermined by ‘Brexit’.
The seminar included an up to date insight on UK market trends and addressed issues of transport/logistics and customs requirements which will be influenced by Brexit related developments.
