The Irish Concrete Federation has made a submission on the Government publication of a discussion paper on the development of a new National Planning Framework for Ireland.  The key point in the submission is the need for Government to recognise the strategic importance of Ireland’s aggregate resources for the future development of the country’s economic, societal and environmental infrastructure.  The submission also highlights the need for modernisation of the regulatory framework governing access to Ireland’s natural reserves of aggregates.
